Projects I'm still involved with

SCSS

For the new version of the Bremerhavener Formularlotsen website, I wanted to create something that really stands out while being accessible to everyone. I'm currently focusing on making it visually striking but also user-friendly. The site features high contrast for better visibility, a clear and organized structure, support for multiple languages, and ARIA labels to describe important elements. It's designed to be super easy to navigate and has a modern look. Plus, I planned to add extra information and resources, like alternative contacts for issues we can't handle and useful tips about the forms. Stay tuned—it's going to be awesome!

Konva Canvas

For our final project at DCI, we wanted to challenge ourselves and showcase our ability to work with a mix of familiar and new technologies. That's why we created "pixel-together." As the project manager, I led a team of three, including myself, and we used technologies like React, AJV, JSON Web Token, Express.js, Nodemailer, CORS, MongoDB, Node, and Mongoose, along with new ones such as Zustand, Express-RateLimiter, Socket.io, Konva Canvas, and Mantine UI. Inspired by Reddit's r/place, our site lets users place pixels on a shared canvas within a set time frame to create a collaborative artwork. The site isn't online yet as it's still in progress and we have limited resources for moderation.

MongoDB

express.js

I built lua.io as a way to anonymously share and discover music from around the world. I like to think of it as standing on the moon, shouting your favorite song to the world – and the world shouts back. 🌕🎶 The idea is simple: you submit a Deezer or Spotify song link, and in return, you get a new track to explore. If your song is already in the MongoDB database, you’ll know that someone else out there shares your taste! On the backend, I used Express.js, the Spotify & Deezer APIs, and Nodemailer for handling requests and emails. The frontend is built with React & Material UI for a clean and intuitive experience. Support for iTunes & YouTube Music is in the works!

Nice to Know!

At S&S Transporte, I took care of our social media posts—from editing images to crafting the perfect captions. Using Photoshop and Illustrator, I customized stock images and paired them with fun, lighthearted, or insightful quotes that reflected our company and its philosophy. Of course, I also kept an eye on performance, using Facebook Business Manager to track and optimize post reach.

CSS

I'm a huge fan of the Portuguese football team S.L. Benfica, so I decided to create a fan site for them as a project for my course. I built the site using React.js and integrated a sports database to fetch live data. Although it isn't finished yet, I'm proud of its look and functionality!

This Website?

SCSS

Yes! Why? Because this was the first complete website I built during my course at the DCI. I created it using only HTML and SCSS. I hope you like this website as much as I do!

Rebranding Formularlotsen

Work in Progress

Rebranding

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe XD

Alongside volunteering to help people in need at 'Formularlotsen,' I took the chance to give their visual identity a fresh look! Using Adobe Illustrator, I crafted a new logo and introduced a vibrant, eye-catching color scheme to make 'Formularlotsen' stand out in our clients' minds. This rebranding journey also inspired me to create a concept for a sleek, user-friendly website. While the design is ready to go, I haven’t yet had the time to code it—but it’s on my list!

The Projects I used to work on

Gartenservice Hasselbrock und Partner

Branding

Adobe Illustrator

I had the awesome opportunity to shape the branding for 'Hasselbrock und Partner', a newly founded gardening service. As part of the project, I designed the logo and developed the entire corporate identity using Adobe Illustrator. A key focus was to align this branding closely with 'Hasselbrock und Partner' Construction, as these two companies are connected and needed a shared visual style for easy recognition. The result? A fresh simple look that ties the two together, giving the new gardening service a unique identity while keeping that familiar 'Hasselbrock und Partner' vibe!

Bauunternehmen Hasselbrock und Partner

Rebranding

I had the pleasure of creating a new, sleek logo for the construction Company 'Bauunternehmung Hasselbrock und Partner GmbH'. Using Adobe Illustrator, I focused on a clean, minimalist design to reflect the company’s professional and reliable image. The goal was simplicity with impact—something bold yet understated that stands out without being flashy. Now, Hasselbrock und Partner has a fresh logo that captures their essence perfectly!

New Website

CMS

My first project after graduation?
A website for S&S Transporte! It started as a digital business card to boost their online presence, but I wanted to make it truly useful for customers, too. I also designed a cohesive corporate identity (CI) to create lasting brand recognition across all platforms. Using the CMS Wix, I built a site where clients can easily connect with us directly for their specific needs. The result? A website and brand identity that not only inform but also streamline communication and strengthen brand recognition!

Nice to Know!

After graduating, I spent a year focused on shooting and editing product photos for a small general store, where I honed my eye for detail and gained hands-on experience in lighting, object positioning, and color coordination. This role taught me the importance of precise placement and enhanced my skills in photo editing and retouching to ensure every shot looked its best.

App-Concept

Student Project

As part of a three-person team, I worked with the company 'Huth' over a three-month period to develop a concept for a sales-boosting app. Our goal was to create a tool to support sales representatives on-site, specifically in advising customers and closing sales for fencing products. The app concept incorporated features like augmented reality (AR) to provide visual aids that help customers better visualize products in real time. This project allowed us to bridge digital tools with hands-on sales support, creating an innovative solution to enhance the sales process and improve customer experience.

Little Campus

Student Project

Rebranding

During my studies, I was part of a rebranding project for the university’s childcare facility. Our goal was to make this service more appealing to student parents and increase its visibility on campus. By refreshing the branding and emphasizing its benefits, we aimed to create a welcoming image that highlighted this valuable support option, making it easier for students with children to engage with and benefit from the university’s childcare offerings.

Curso LCP

My first website

New Website

My first website was for a Portuguese language course in Bremerhaven, which I built entirely in HTML. Although it was never fully completed or published (until now), this project taught me a lot. I took a self-driven approach, relying on YouTube tutorials for guidance after finding the official resources overly complicated and hard to navigate. Working independently on this project gave me a foundational understanding of web structure and coding principles, sparking my interest in web development and encouraging me to keep learning and improving.
